Alessandro Lasciandare was born in Biella, Italy, in 1973. After several years as a consultant, he received his Bachelor degree in Telecommunication Engineering, form the Politecnico di Torino University, Torino, Italy, in 2002. After two years in a small company, as Firmware and Software developer, he joined ST as an Application Engineer for industrial products working on Power Line Communication devices. His expertise is in PLC systems architecture, PLC protocols, and embedded FW and SW for PLC protocol implementation. As an Application Manager he’s in charge of coordinating PLC related customer support activities, new product definition activities, FW and SW development, and representing ST in international SDOs, like ITU-T, and associations and Meters and More Association. He’s a member of The Meters and More AISBL, actively participating in the “Certification Technical Committee” and the “Protocol Specifications Technical Committee”.
